Club Info

The Loess Hills Wood Turning Club strives to promote the art of woodturning in the greater Omaha area.

Meetings

On the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm the monthly gathering brings together woodturners from the area ranging in skill from expert to novice. Meetings include:

- Business Meeting
- Announcements
- Show and Tell
- Fellowship
- Demonstrations
- Raffles
- Snacks

Mentoring

A most valuable aspect of club membership is the chance to learn from turners with more experience than yourself. Besides the wonderfully informational demonstrations at every monthly meeting, several of the more experienced turners in the club are waiting to answer your questions and help you learn the fine art of woodturning.

Projects

Several charitable projects throughout the year give every member a chance to donate a turning or two for a good cause. Also, public turning demonstrations are available for area events in order to increase the communities awareness of woodturning.

Library

Members are allowed to check items out of our library.  The library contains dozens of books and videos on the subject of woodturning.  This is a valuable resource for anyone wanting to learn to turn and is well worth the membership dues in itself.
